        <p>In 2006, Mark Rosenberg was deeply immersed in Latin music at Cabrillo College, seeking to transition from academic music composition to creating vibrant, danceable rhythms. He formed a Latin Jazz ensemble with local Cabrillo musicians, though it was short-lived. Undeterred, Mark continued performing at Cabrillo and, following the departure of music instructor and Latin music advocate Michael Strunk, went all in. Driven by a passion for music that moves dancers, he founded El Sol de Santa Cruz. After a timeless journey, with the immense talent of his current musicians, Mark now has more music than he can play, fueling unforgettable dance nights.</p>
